Birthday Princess

My lovely sister placed an order for her daughter Catherine's 5th birthday party this weekend. Her theme for the party: princess and horsies, Catherine's 2 favorite things! This is what I came up with:

Party favors? Why, magic wands, of course! These were my first attempt at making "cookie pops":

 I've always been afraid of making these thinking that they would break easily and my hard work would go to waste, but they actually held up quite well! They survived the entire party and were a big hit with all the sweet little princesses who took them home. I can't wait to make more "pops".

Sweet baby girl

The following pictures are of an order from one of my best customers, in honor of a new baby born into the family. What a great reason to make yummy, adorable cookies!

I almost ran out of "It's a Girl" ribbon, but had just enough...time to go ribbon shopping!

This order marked a momentous occasion; my first time using my "official" packaging, since we finally received our printer in the mail and were able to print out my business cards, which was the missing ingredient all this time. I was very pleased with the final product:

 And let's not forget the cute little sticker on the mailing box. I think it adds a nice little touch. :)

Purses and Fall

I received an order from a lovely lady who wanted purse cookies for her sister's birthday. She requested the same colors/designs I've previously done, so these are not anything new here but I still thought they deserved their own blog post! I love the little bits of red here and there, such a great fall/winter color! 

What a great birthday surprise to receive! Who doesn't love getting surprise cookies in the mail??

Christmas preview

 I'm posting a little preview of my Christmas cookie collection, at the risk of being disowned by my family members. Growing up, our family Christmas traditions were absolutely sacred, and they all followed a strict schedule (for example, not listening to Christmas music until Advent starts, putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it on Christmas Eve night, etc. etc.). So, what I'm about to do might cause a scandal in the family. Here goes!
