Happy Anniversary!

I made some cookies for a dear friend of mine for her 2nd wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful wedding and I was honored to be one of her bridesmaids, and I can't help but think that she is one of the most beautiful brides ever, don't you agree?:
Inspired by the loveliness of my friend Liesl (and with a little help from looking through her wedding pictures on my computer), I came up with these cookies:
The blue and yellow color scheme, as well as the soft blue hydrangea flowers in the bouquets, were the details I tried to capture in cookie form. :)

I did LOVE Liesl's selection of deep royal blue for her bridesmaids' dresses (it's my favorite color!):

Just a few more of the cakes, which I think turned out lovely:

Happy anniversary to a beautiful couple!

Wedding cookies

These were made for a sweet Mother of the Bride who's son is getting married this weekend. They were ordered to be used as place settings for the rehearsal dinner, and I tried my best to replicate the actual wedding and bridesmaid dresses as well as the groom's dress blues and the groomsmen's tuxedos.
I was up late making the cookies and so there was no natural lighting for the cookie photo shoot. You'll have to excuse the flash!

We thought it would be fun to have the parents of the bride and groom have specialized cookies as well:

For the rest of the family and friends at the rehearsal dinner, I chose wedding cakes because who doesn't love cake?

Here is a picture of some extra/bonus cookies in the sunlight today. I thought I'd use up the leftover icing and backup cookies to play around a little bit.
I hope everyone enjoys their place setting!

Thank you cookies

These were ordered by my sister as a "thank you" gift to a fun family who graciously put her up while she was visiting Chicago recently and showed her a great time! What a fun way to say thank you. :)

Baby girl

These were a gift for our new niece (yay!) Genevieve Cecile. Ok, so maybe they're more for her parents. :) We decided to use the onesies that Cecilia picked out for her new baby cousin as inspiration for the cookie colors and theme:

Welcome to the world, baby Genevieve!

Chinese art

A creative customer ordered these for her mother-in-law who loves Chinese art. I had a lot of fun with these, since they were so different from anything I have done before!
 Lanterns:
 Lotus flowers:

 Fans (my favorite):

The whole batch. I tried my hand at a pagoda and a Chinese symbol. I am not much of an artist when it comes to free-handing!

The final touch: olive-green ribbons to tie it all together.

Birthday Girl

These were a gift for a little girl who's turning 3 years old this weekend:

What's a little girl's birthday collection without some princess cookies?

Happy birthday Sofia!

First Holy Communion

Here is an order of First Communion cookies for a special little girl named Ashley. Her mom wanted to surprise her on her big day with some specialty cookies for the occasion!

Spiderman also made an appearance as a gift for Ashley's little sister who is a big Spidey fan.

Congratulations on receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, Ashley!
