Baby boy Baptism

My mother placed an order for Baptism cookies for a new baby cousin of mine who was just Baptized. It was my first Baptism order for a baby boy, so I used blue and green flowers.

I also was able to incorporate a new dove cookie cutter that I picked up recently. I was happy with the results!

Congrats on the new addition, Uncle Will and Aunt Susan, and welcome to the Catholic Church, baby Daniel!!

Leftover icing

Most of the time when I've completed a cookie order, I'm left with a bit of leftover icing. I love to try to use this up because I'd hate to see all that scrumptious, colorful icing go bad! As my very wise mother would always say, "waste is sinful" and we wouldn't want that now would we? I had leftover red, blue, and black from Spiderman cookies, as well as pink and yellow from baby girl cookies. So, since I was decorating on a lovely Friday afternoon, I made these. Can you tell which one was made by Cecilia?:

Cecilia especially loves it when I'm making "leftover" cookies, because she gets to help decorate. She provided me with the inspiration for the following cookies.
Can you tell why?:
You'll also notice that we were creative with leftover Halloween M&M's as well. Aren't you proud, Mommy?

Baby girl

I am excited to post pictures of this recent order of baby girl cookies, because I just love how they turned out. There's just something about baby cookies that makes you say "awww!" uncontrollably. Just see for yourself, I dare you to look at these cookies and not gasp, just a little, in response to their cuteness:

My husband especially liked the booties:

All tied up in a bow! Isn't this ribbon a perfect fit? :)
 Ready to be shipped.

Spiderman

Some Happy Birthday cookies for my Spider-man obsessed husband. I was very pleased with how they turned out. I think it was the special ingredient: love.

Monsters!

In keeping with the scary Halloween themed cookies, here is a batch of Monster's Inc. inspired monster cookies:

I had a lot of fun with these but definitely think there is room for improvement, especially since I forgot to make blue icing to have James P. Sullivan cookies! Because we all know that he is the coolest monster in Monsters Inc., at least I think so anyway. :)

Beautiful Autumn

The theme of my latest cookie orders has been FALL! And since that is my absolute favorite season of the year, I'm ok with that. :) First, a batch of Halloween pumpkin cookies for a Montessori school class. Happy Halloween kids!

Next, a batch of Fall themed cookies. I had a lot of fun with these!
 Don't they look so scrumptious?

Oops, I almost forgot the acorns.
That's all for now! Tomorrow I'll be moving onto making oodles and oodles of Halloween cookies. Can't wait!

Purses and Rings

Purses and rings, some of a girl's favorite things! I recently received an order for purse cookies, which I was excited about because I am a big fan of purses in general and it's fun to play designer when I decorate them. :)

The order for rings was a gift for a newly engaged couple. It was my first time trying the ring cookie cutter, so I tried a variety of looks for the diamond and just used blue and white. I think these would look great with gold or silver colors for the ring itself, and maybe some glitter on the diamond. I'm looking forward to making more in the future!

Birds

Some more just-for-fun cookies, experimenting wtih a bird cookie cutter. I just used the icing colors that I already had, but I think that next time I could use different colors to make more realistic looking birds. For my first try though, I am happy with how they turned out!

Under the Sea

My daughter Cecilia is obsessed with all sorts of sea creatures, and so we did some mother-daughter cookie decorating the other day. This is what we (I) came up with.

 Isn't she cute?

Ceci turns two!

For the big day today, I made princess cookies for my little princess, focusing on her favorite princesses Cinderella, Rapunzel and Belle. She really loved them and could recognize which dress belonged to which princess. I nearly burst with pride.

I'm a bit partial to the Cinderella cookies, since she was my favorite princess. :)

We had to have some boy cookies for the boys coming to the party!
The party favors, all ready to be handed out.
And of course I just can't resist posting a picture of the birthday girl herself. Happy birthday Cecilia, Mommy loves you sooooo much!!
